HAVE YOU TRIED TANGO ON GRAND?

I said awhile ago that I would not be doing restaurant reviews, but rather would mention restaurants that are doing a good job.  Well, today I'm going to do both.  I have been a fan of Tango since it opened. (If you've gone to Tango and felt their portions were small, you might want to try them again.  There seemed to be more of every dish I ordered.)  I remain impressed by their food--their duck confit is the best around--but I've also come to admire their hard work, their willingness to grow and change, adapting to the economic environment.  They expanded at the start of this recession and since then have been doing everything they can to bring people into the restaurant.  A look at their weekly schedule online shows specials all week nights--$2 tacos on Tuesdays for instance--and live music on the weekends.  With a formal dining room, a casual lounge and lots of seating outside, they are a great addition to Grand.  Everytime I've been there lately, the place has been hopping and I'm glad to see that.  Located at the west end of Grand means they're outside the busiest area, which can be both a blessing and a curse.  On Cruisin' Grand nights it is a definite plus since you can see the interesting cars go by yet not be caught in the crush of pedestrians.  See you tomorrow.  PS I have no relationship with Tango and they don't know that I write this blog.
